How to auto-reply to Instagram comments in 3 steps

Use a professional account
Instagram lets apps manage comments only on Business and Creator accounts. Switch in the Instagram app if needed, and link the account to your Facebook Page.
Connect through Facebook
In the Social section of your Convoro dashboard, click Facebook & Instagram and share the Page. Its linked Instagram account connects in the same step.
Review the first drafts
As comments arrive, approve, edit or reject the drafts. Switch the account to Automatic whenever you are ready.

Instagram comment auto-reply FAQ

Does Convoro reply to Instagram DMs?

No. Convoro replies publicly to comments on your posts and Reels. It does not read or answer direct messages. For private conversations, point customers to your WhatsApp number or your website chat, where Convoro does answer.

Can I approve replies before they are posted?

Yes, and that is how every Instagram account starts. Drafts wait in your dashboard for you to edit, approve or reject. You can switch an account to Automatic at any time, and back again.

Do I need a Business or Creator account?

Yes. Instagram's API works only with professional accounts, and the account must be linked to a Facebook Page you manage. Switching a personal account to Business or Creator is free in the Instagram app.

Does Convoro know which post a comment is on?

Not yet. It sees the text of the comment and that person's earlier comments, not the photo or caption above it. A comment like "how much?" may get a general answer or a question back, rather than the price of the item in the photo.

What can Convoro post to Instagram?
